Northern Lights

The aurora borealis is best seen from late fall through early spring, when nights are long. Fairbanks and the Interior are prime; Southcentral can see them too on clear nights.

Get away from city lights, check the forecast (Kp index), and dress warm. Many lodges offer aurora viewing packages.
